S e p t e m b e r 2 0 2 2 | Abacoa &Alton N E I G H B O R S 23 COMMUNITY CORNER The Coalition offers a wide range of programs and services (Voluntary Prekindergarten, School Readiness programs, and childcare scholarships) to ensure that all children have access to high-quality early childhood experiences and education in their formative preschool years. They support children and families on their road to Kindergarten with resources that build a solid foundation for learning and growth. To fulfill the mission “Every child in Palm Beach County is ready to succeed in school and in life,” the Coalition partners with the School District of Palm Beach County and the Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County to ensure seamless childcare and early learning opportunities for families. The Coalition is part of the Department of Education’s Division of Early Learning and works with federal programs like Early Head Start. It is these partnerships and many others that allow the Coalition to serve thousands of families each year. The Coalition also partners with a network of nearly 700 early learning providers across Palm Beach County. Coalition staff provide professional development, coaching and resources to advance the skills of early learning teachers. This keeps teachers up on the latest best practices and enhances their ability to inspire children to reach their academic potential. The Coalition’s informed and committed Board of Directors lend their expertise to support the work of the Coalition. With CEO Warren Eldridge and leadership staff, the Coalition strives to be at the forefront of early education services for children and families. All team members are committed to working with families in their communities. This community involvement and strong partnerships are at the heart of outreach efforts.
