The hospitality industry took a hit in 2020 with Covid, more than 934,000 were furloughed or laid off because of closures. The Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association and Discover The Palm Beaches have partnered to launch the first Restaurant Week. Restaurant week is an event designed to showcase local hotels & restaurants. Participating restaurants offer reduced or fixed price menus, so customers can try many different types of food that may normally be out of their price range. Typically, it is mid- and upper-range establishments that join restaurant week, but any restaurant can take part in the event. Restaurant week appeals to locals and tourists alike, and most operations that participate see increased traffic during the occasion. The Palm Beach promotion also includes area hotels. Get ready for some delicious dining starting August 16-31, for the inaugural kick-off Palm Beach Restaurant Week. This county-wide promotion is designed to support local restaurants, drive staycations at hotels, and offer a great variety of value-based dining options. Restaurant week is a great way for businesses to draw in new customers who may not have tried your establishment before, while also keeping existing customers satisfied and interested. Hotels will participate by offering Food & Beverage credits, staycations and dining packages, along with value-based specials. The Palm Beaches is mobilizing its marketing efforts and committing $75,000 to the promotion to help support local businesses during the summertime. Be on the lookout for billboards, 3D art installations, Chef cook-offs and tasting opportunities all around the county. The entry price for restaurants is more than reasonable starting at $75. There are offerings for all types of budgets and tastes. Restaurant week allows guests the opportunity to enjoy the best cuisine in the Palm Beaches at delectable prices—three-course meals featuring signature dishes created by world-renowned chefs will be featured at a variety of local restaurants.
