Naturally, the skill and experience of the barber is always an important component of the shaving experience, but the products they use are a key to the finest shaves. Barbers train and hone their skills for years to provide their customers with the smoothest shaves. However, the products used on the face along with the process and atmosphere can dramatically enhance the entire shaving experience. We have customers treat themselves to a great shave on a routine basis. The service begins in a very comfortable chair which is reclined and a hot towel is comfortably placed over the face to warm the beard and relax the guest. Along with the hot towel, a pre shave oil comprised of essential oils is applied to prepare the skin for the closest shave. This helps to protect the skin from irritation while enhancing the razor’s glide on the face. Once the beard is warmed and moisturized by the steam from the towel, a specially formulated shaving cream is used to soften the beard further and hydrate the skin allowing for an even smoother shave while nourishing the skin. Upon completion of the shaving service, barbers will then use a cleanser to remove any impurities and it condition the skin for a bright and healthy appearance. Then a toning mist will be applied to further hydrate the skin and revitalize it, the face will be cooled with a moist towel to eliminate irritation while closing the pores. Finally, an after shave will be applied to further mitigate redness and give the skin a fresh glow. What kind of ingredients are often utilized in these products to accomplish a great shave: • Willow Bark Extract to reduce irritation • Pomegranate extract to increase moisture levels and create a barrier from environmental stressors • Coconut extract is full of antioxidants to help reduce moisture loss and improve moisturization. • Agave Americana leaf to promote skin healing and soothe the skin. • White Oak bark extract and Chia Seed extract are antioxidants that reduce skin inflammation. So , see a professional full service barber to relax and enjoy a very close shave which will rejuvenate your skin and have you looking and feeling your best.
