She decided to become a vet at 7 years old and from then on it was full steam ahead with one end goal in mind. Since the University of Florida has the only Veterinary School in the state, that was where she was headed. As a freshman, she lived in the dorms, at the top of Beatty Towers for those who are familiar, and as such, no pets were allowed. This was quite an adjustment for a pet obsessed kid, as you can imagine. At the end of the second semester, she came across a dog that was ‘the one’. Enter Zoey, the once in a lifetime, heart dog. It took a bit of juggling to keep her under cover on the 11th floor of the dormitory but 12 years later, she is still Dr. Liberman’s #1 side kick. She has been working in the Jupiter /South Florida area since graduating with her BS and D.V.M. from the University of Florida. Dr. Liberman has actualized her long-standing dream with the opening of her own practice, the Sunshine Veterinary Hospital based in the heart of Jupiter. She believes in the importance of building rapport and provides her “patients” with the care that she believes is paramount to successful family and pet integration. Dr. Liberman and her staff believe being compassionate with pets and their caretakers yields a low-stress visit. They look forward to see their clients and “patients” coming in with tails wagging looking forward to their treats, loving pats, and greetings by all staff. It makes our furry patients all feel like V.I.P’s! Dr. Liberman feels that creating a positive experience during their scheduled wellness visits sets a foundation for trust and calm during more crucial illnesses or accidents. Saving an animal’s life or helping with their pain or symptoms restores the pets, as well as their human family members, since often pets are perceived as family members too. Communication is key at Sunshine Veterinary Hospital to ensure clients understand the “what’s and why’s” of their pets’ care. They believe in being client-centered and will meet all client’s and pet’s needs by clear explanations and going that extra mile for them. They offer a variety of services to help keep your pets comfortable, safe, and healthy. They have state of the art equipment and have recently added an Ultrasound to expand their diagnostic capabilities. You can often find Dr. Liberman at the dog beach after work with her crew of rescue dogs. She enjoys working with rescue and non-profit partners. Most notably, teaming up with Greyhound Pet Adoptions FL SE. She has provided veterinary care for over 70 Greyhounds in less than 4 months. Dr. Liberman also enjoys making pottery and gardening in her spare time. By the way, take a look around the office when you arrive, most of the décor was handmade by Dr. Liberman! So, take a moment and stop by and meet Dr Liberman and the Sunshine Veterinarian Hospital tucked away in the Sea Plum Plaza, surrounded by the charming Botanica neighborhood in Jupiter. Oh, and bring your pet in for a pat and a treat!
