F e b r u a r y 2 0 2 2 | Abacoa &Alton N E I G H B O R S 29 Starting in July of 2021, the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center has been undergoing significant improvements to the grounds in order to benefit participants, their horses, and the community, and more exciting projects are on the horizon. Thanks to the investment of the Global Equestrian Group, the facility has received some much needed upgrades and attention, and that trend will continue for years to come as new projects are planned each year. By the beginning of the 2022 Winter Equestrian Festival, the main enhancements included features that benefit the horses, but improvements and additions for spectators are on their way soon! The Winter Equestrian Festival is going on now and will continue through Sunday, April 3, 2022. Competition takes place daily from Wednesday to Sunday each week, with Saturday Night Lights serving as the highlight event each weekend. A Grand Prix equestrian event featuring food, fun, live music, and the highest level of competitive show jumping, Saturday Night Lights is a memorable way to experience the best that horse sport has to offer and get close to Oympians. No equestrian knowledge needed for a memorable experience! The best part? Admission is free; just pay $20 per carload for parking.
