WARHOL! WARHOL! (January 13 - March 23, 2022) 9th Annual Plein Air Festival (March 27 - April 2, 2022) In the Spencer Gallery, the WARHOL! WARHOL! WARHOL! exhibition features over twenty pieces of rarely seen original art, by arguably the most famous artist in the last 100 years, Andy Warhol. In the Shorr Gallery, Ray Gross Pop Art Porcelains and a Pop Art Jewelry Show & Sale celebrate the pop art movement with fabulous sculptures and jewelry. The spring season begins with the highly anticipated 9th Annual Plein Air Festival. This week- long festival is packed with events, demonstrations, workshops and fresh works of art for sale by thirty award-winning artists who compete for over $20,000 in cash and prizes. “We are honored to bring world class exhibits to our community like the Guggenheim’s Frank Lloyd Wright, Nick Cave’s renowned Sound Suits, or Kara Walker’s Sugar Babies,” states Curator, Janeen Mason. “We’ve curated exhibits showing Clyde Butcher’s iconic photos of the Everglades, Edie Widder’s first photos ever taken of a giant squid alive, and Mary Fisher’s evocative textiles inspired by her work with African communities surviving AIDS. Our Plein Air Festival is recognized as one of the best in the country. Collectors of note have loaned us some of their best, and this explains how WARHOL! WARHOL! Andy Warhol, arguably the most famous artist in the last 100 years, was an artist, director, and producer who was a leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art. The exhibition gives local residents and visitors the opportunity to view this iconic artist’s work in person.
