Christine was surround by art growing up and then studied fine art in college, so it is no surprise this Bonita Sprints resident was selected to be this year’s ArtiGras poster artist with theme being “Love of Art”. Her piece title “Delightful” hit the mark. “Making art has been my passion since childhood. I love every minute of every day, because I do what I love and love what I do,” said Christine who grew up in New Jersey. “Delightful” is an acrylic painting on canvas highlighted by finishing touches with oil paint. The main imagery is the iconic Jupiter Lighthouse surrounded by different types of fish and colorful larger-than-life hibiscuses. “I spent time in Jupiter several years ago while doing a mural project in Stuart. My children, who were little at the time, spent their days at a horse camp while I worked. Nearly every day after work and camp, we’d go to the beach and enjoy the sand, surf and view. My painting reflects the beautiful loving memories I have of that month,” said Christine, who will be showing at ArtiGras for the first time. Christine joined the art festival circuit in 2017 but has been a successful professional artist her entire adult life. This will be the first time she has been selected as a festival poster artist, but not her last. The painter has also been selected as a poster artist for an upcoming show in Sarasota. You will be able to meet Christine Adele at the 36th ArtiGras Fine Arts Festival presented by Hanley Foundation and produced by Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce. The festival will run from February 13-14 at the Gardens North County District Park in Palm Beach Gardens.
