Fun Facts on Alaska Home to 17 of the 20 highest peaks in North America which include “Denali” which towers at 20, 320 feet above sea level. Alaska covers 34,000 miles of coastline, more than the rest of the United States combined. Florida is second with only 8,436 miles.
