Savory BBQ If savory is more your style, try Nev’s BBQ in the Promenade Plaza on A1A in the Gardens. Tommy Neville, formerly with Three Forks just opened his own Barbeque restaurant complete with giant wood smokers out back. You can indulge in a 16 -hour smoked brisket, or barbeque chicken. Everything has a unique smokey taste according to the type of wood Tommy uses. You can have a crash course on the flavors of woods as you walk down the hallway to the back of the restaurant. Who knew there were some many choices? The mac & cheese side with corn bread is a winner. When you walk into the joint you discover vinyl from the last decades displayed about and available to purchase. Proceeds go to fund employee health care. The walls are adorned with guitars and funky musical artwork. If you ask Vince, the owner, he will admit, this has been a labor of love. Double Roads got its name from the stretch of road just north of Marcinski on the beach in Juno. Vince, wanted to create a local bar with a hometown feel and he has succeeded again with Double Roads 2.0. You can enjoy lite bites, such as barbeque, shrimp, pizza, salads and more.
