Do you think about the fact that about one third of the county’s landmass is covered in sugar cane, and that Palm Beach County leads the nation in sugar and sweet corn production? How about the fact that our county is home to world-renowned research centers, Scripps and Max Planck, and the headquarters of multi-billion dollar companies like United Technologies? At Leadership Palm Beach County (LPBC), our mission is to educate and unite leaders to build a better community. We make sure the leaders who go through our programs know that Palm Beach County is more than just beaches. Our beaches and tourism are invaluable assets to our economy, but our county also depends on business, agriculture, bioscience, engineering and much more. Through immersive, hands-on experiences led by each industry’s leading authorities, participants of LPBC’s programs get to go behind-the-scenes of each industry in Palm Beach County. They learn about topics ranging from public safety and education to business and agriculture.
