By educating our community’s leaders, we are equipping them for a future of civic involvement, advocacy and community-centric leadership. We strive to open the eyes of Palm Beach County’s CEOs, small business owners and elected officials to all that our county has to offer so that they can use their unique networks and skills to better the community. By partnering with local non-profits through our Engage Forward projects, our participants learn first-hand how to understand charities’ needs and deliver solutions. We not only educate; we do the work. People join LPBC to change the community, but the experience ends up changing them. Nancy Proffitt, MBA, CBC, past LPBC President, offered her perspective: “When I think back on my decades of experience with Leadership Palm Beach County, it is with overwhelming appreciation and a heartfelt love for humanity. LPBC has afforded me so many opportunities to work with scores of the most giving and caring people who help affect positive change in our community – this experience has made me a better business woman, a better leader and a better human being.” LPBC unites leaders to “connect, collaborate and change.” As we navigate this current environment of fear and uncertainty, there has never been a more necessary time to do this. We believe that we will get through this time of hardship by uniting and bringing the ideas and resources of individuals together for the good of the community. LPBC is proud to be the reason many of our community leaders know that Palm Beach County is more than a booming bubble of beaches and business. Aware of the issues each corner of our county faces, LPBC Alumni are lending helping hands to our neighbors who are struggling due to the COVID-19 crisis. While this time is scary, we are confident that Palm Beach County will leave this crisis stronger and more unified than ever. COMMUNITY NEWS
