They inspire others to action and change the mood of any room they enter. They also seem to be successful in everything they do. It is the principle of “attraction” that draws others to them. From my observation, they are people uninterested in leading average or ordinary lives. They have made the conscious decision to step out of their comfort zone and test their limits. Here are the attributes of those exhibiting the “Attraction Principle”: 1 - OPTIMISTIC - An optimist is someone who sees things for what they can be and not simply how things are. They see people for their potential, and not for just who they may be today. Optimistic people live in the moment and believe that tomorrow will bring bigger and better things. They do not give the past the opportunity to occupy their thoughts. They have decided to put their faith in mankind, and believe in their innate ability to effect positive change. 2 - UNSELFISH - We are attracted to those who put others before themselves, people confident enough of their own survival and success that they can be there for others. They don’t suffer from “what’s in it for me?” syndrome. Unselfish people are willing to invest their time and effort in bettering and enriching the lives of those around them. They can make a great impact on those who are fortunate to know them! 3 - CONFIDENT - You can see it in their eyes, in their demeanor, and even in the way they walk! They ooze confidence without ever displaying arrogance. This kind of confidence is contagious. 4 - HUMBLE - It is said in the game of life that the king and the pawn go back to the same box after the game is over! “Attractive” people have a real understanding and appreciation for the value of human life, and they do not ascribe any weight to social status. In their eyes, everyone is equal and important. They strive to make everyone feel comfortable in their presence. 5 - DECISIVE - Those who agonize over every decision and spend countless hours considering every possible permutation tend to irritate even the most patient people. There are others, however, who always seem to know what they want and are willing to go for it. Their decisiveness is refreshing. They believe they are judged by their efforts; they learn from their mistakes and put them behind them. 6 - FLEXIBLE - People who live by the “Attraction Principle” make room for other’s beliefs and opinions, believe in testing boundaries, and expect the greatest things in the future. They are willing to bend when necessary and they know that they do not have all the answers; as a matter of fact, they are always learning from others as well as sharing their own knowledge. How great is that? There are many other values often inherent in them. They live from ABUNDANCE , treat everyone with FAIRNESS , always contribute to the SOLUTION , get INVOLVED , and allow their CREATIVITY to expand. They are PLEASANT and always fun to be around, they almost always wear a SMILE , they LISTEN well, and they speak with carefully-cultivated KINDNESS . What would it take for us to emulate these “attractive” people? What would it cost us? If we could change some things, we could similarly be the benefactors. Nurturing the “Attraction Principle” guarantees success, not only in our personal lives but also in our professional lives.
