N o v e m b e r 2 0 2 0 | Abacoa &Alton N E I G H B O R S 31 SCENES AROUND TOWN Congratulations to our hometown heroes! This history-making Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue crew comprised of Krystyna Krakowski, Kelsey Krzywada, Julie Dudley, Captain Monica Marzullo and Sandi Ladewski is being nationally recognized as the first all-female fire crew in Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue’s 57-year history! Their story went viral in October when a photo - showing this dynamic team in full firefighter gear - made them nationally famous, when it was featured on Good Morning America, the Today Show and the New York Post - along with national and local news outlets across the country! Krakowski and the rest of the crew are hoping to use their groundbreaking accomplishment to raise money for Firefighters to the Rescue Inc., a nonprofit meant to help first responders fighting their own battles. And the women have a message for the next generation of female firefighters. “We can do anything. We are capable of anything,” Heiser Krakowski said. “DON’T LET ANYTHING STOP YOU.” First-Ever All-Female Crew Makes History at Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue By Heather Storm Rescue Lieutenant Krystyna Krakowski and her colleagues, Fire Medic Kelsey Krzywada, Fire Medic Julie Dudley, Lt.
