Miller Medical Center - T he Alan B. Miller Medical Center is expected to open this spring and is a significant milestone in expanding access to healthcare for our growing community. The new hospital, located off Donald Ross Road (Exit 83) and I-95, will offer many neighbors more convenient access to lifesaving care than ever before. Setting a new standard in patient‑centered healthcare Situated in the heart of cherished landmarks, like the Gardens Mall and Roger Dean Stadium, Alan B. Miller Medical Center is a seven-story, 156-bed, acute care hospital with advanced healthcare services and amenities designed for a superior patient experience. “The new facility represents a bold step forward in our mission to deliver exceptional, compassionate and innovative healthcare,” says Gina Melby, chief executive officer, Alan B. Miller Medical Center. Advanced healthcare services include a 24/7 emergency department, a specialized heart and vascular center, robotic surgery, neurosciences, stroke care, women’s services and orthopedics. Additionally, the new hospital offers the Palm Suites Concierge Program for the utmost comfort. Tranquil healing spaces with plenty of natural light are offered in the hospital’s interior. Outside areas include a landscaped courtyard for the relaxation and enjoyment of patients, visitors and employees. Building for the community with the community The new hospital is named for Alan B. Miller, founder and executive chairman of Universal Health Services, Inc., (UHS), who penned the company’s mission upon its founding in 1979, leading with: “…to provide superior quality patient care.” In 1986, Mr. Miller built and opened Wellington Regional Medical Center (owned and operated by a subsidiary of UHS).
