Country Club Living - Palm Beach North - November 2026

6 C O U N T R Y C L U B L I V I N G - PA L M B E A C H N O R T H | N O V E M B E R 2 0 2 6 E very November, our country pauses to recognize the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. We attend ceremonies. We share stories. We say thank you. Those moments of recognition matter. But for the thousands of veterans who call Palm Beach County home, our support cannot begin and end in November. Military service may be one chapter of a veteran's life, but the leadership, discipline, resilience and sense of purpose developed through that experience continue long after the uniform comes off. Veterans become entrepreneurs, executives, employees, mentors and community leaders. They start businesses, build careers, create jobs and contribute to the economic strength of the communities they call home. The question for the business community is how we help veterans translate that experience into the next chapter, whether that means building a civilian career, starting a business, or growing an existing one. For many veterans, entering the civilian workforce or starting a business means navigating an entirely new environment. The language is different. The networks are different. The resources may be unfamiliar. Someone who spent years leading teams, solving complex problems, and operating under tremendous responsibility may suddenly find themselves having to build a professional network from the ground up. That is where connection matters. Palm Beach County is home to approximately 73,000 veterans. Each represents a different story, experience, and path forward. Some are building businesses. Others are pursuing their next career. Some are looking for mentors or professional connections, while others are ready to become mentors themselves. Our business community has an opportunity to meet them there. That belief is at the heart of the Palm Beach North Veterans Business Coalition, an initiative of the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce created to support and empower veteran entrepreneurs, business owners, and professionals. Through networking, mentorship, business development, employment connections and community engagement, the Coalition creates a bridge between our veteran community and the broader Palm Beach North business community. And importantly, that work happens throughout the year. Because sometimes the most valuable resource we can provide is not another website or brochure. It is an introduction. It is connecting an aspiring entrepreneur with someone who has already built a business. It is introducing a veteran seeking a civilian career to an employer who understands the value of military experience. It is helping someone find the attorney, accountant, consultant or mentor who can answer the question standing between an idea and its next step. Those connections have an impact far beyond the individuals making them.
