MANATEE SEASON KICKOFF – SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2025 - 10 AM Manatee Lagoon will host its annual Manatee Season Kickoff ! This free, family-friendly event celebrates Florida’s iconic manatees with activities including painting, cornhole, food trucks, marine-themed vendors, expert speakers, and hands- on experiences. Guests can enjoy the popular Manatee Rescue Adventure, manatee-themed crafts, outdoor games, and more. It’s a fun and engaging way to learn how we can all help protect these magnificent marine mammals during their winter stay in Florida’s warm waters. Manatee season runs from November 15 through March 31, when manatees migrate to warmer waters. Whenever the temperature in Lake Worth Lagoon drops to 68 degrees or colder, manatees gather in the clean, warm-water outflows of the FPL Riviera Beach Next Generation Clean Energy Center, located right next to Manatee Lagoon. MANATEE TALES STORY TIME Held every other Saturday, Manatee Lagoon’s Manatee Tales: Adventures with Mia & Friends is a free, captivating program that immerses children in the fascination of marine life. The adventure continues in our newly renovated classroom, meticulously designed to transport children to a mesmerizing underwater ecosystem. Here, our Manatee Masters bring storybooks to life, detailing the enchanting escapades of Mia the Manatee’s lovable animal friends. Every tale provides a stimulating journey, daring to inspire and encourage curiosity in young minds. The story time culminates with children creating a craft inspired by the tale of the day, fostering their artistic expression and reinforcing their learning. This immersive program energizes creativity, education, and storytelling, all while creating memorable experiences.
