The TeamWork Scholarship is serving Palm Beach State’s Career Pathways for those students enrolled at the Palm Beach Gardens campus. Designed to help them identify viable career paths along their educational journey, the TeamWork initiative allows students to attain their degrees sooner than later with lower educational costs, providing the local workforce with well-prepared professionals. Health sciences encompasses a range of healthcare, including radiography, respiratory care, and sonography programs found at the Oristano Center for Innovation in Health Sciences at Palm Beach Gardens. STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) fields, such as electrical power technology, engineering technology, biotechnology, environmental science, and horticulture impact a myriad of industries with growing career opportunities for Palm Beach State graduates. The TeamWork Education Foundation Board has made an initial commitment of $200,000 to Florida’s first public college, serving 40 students seeking AS degrees, and is intent on a lasting relationship that impacts both students and the community’s workforce. Why has TeamWork selected Palm Beach State as its exclusive post-secondary partner? Patti Lehrhoff, President of the TeamWork Education Foundation, has been impressed with the College’s Foundation, programs, and leadership. “Through a TeamWork initiative, I noticed how many students were attending Palm Beach State and funding made sense both financially and geographically, particularly with the quality of programming the College provides.” PROFILES OF LEADERSHIP STEM education at PBSC Photo credit: LILAPHOTO 12 PA L M B E A C H G A R D E N S L I V I N G | M A R C H 2 0 2 6
