Miller Medical Center Groundbreaking Ceremony, Chelsea Reed, former Mayor of Palm Beach Gardens, thanked UHS for becoming “good neighbors to the Palm Beaches.” “Because of your collaboration, this hospital will be a successful reflection of our city,” said Ms. Reed. “And this hospital is joining us at a time of vital smart growth,” she added. The Alan B. Miller Medical Center will offer approximately 800 new career opportunities to the local community in addition to recruiting highly accomplished and compassionate medical professionals to care for patients, according to Ms. Melby. “The people working at the hospital are going to live, shop and invest right here,” she says. The new hospital is projected to be a $644 million investment in the local community, as noted on the hospital’s website. In addition to the hospital’s comprehensive services, the 365-square-foot, 34-acre campus will house medical office buildings, offering enhanced access to complex outpatient care.
