O c t o b e r 2 0 2 1 | P A L M B E A C H N O R T H SPORTS 19 SPORTS SPOTLIGHT Born in West Palm Beach, Florida in 1980, I began my foray into sports with the game of baseball. I attended Wellington High School where I played on the baseball team, earning First-Team All American honors by the USA Today in 1999. I was also named Florida Baseball Gatorade Player of the Year. After my senior year in 1999, I was selected 8th overall in the first round of the 1999 draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates. While injuries ultimately kept me from achieving my goal of reaching the big leagues, it allowed me to turn to my next love, golf, which I am still actively a part of today. In addition to making 13 consecutive World Long Drive Championship appearances from 2007 through 2019, I have also participated in thousands of charity golf outings over the years, helping to raise millions of dollars for various foundations all throughout North America. Today, my focus is my company Winning Ticket LLC which I founded in 2015. Winning Ticket is an all-inclusive event management software company that helps companies and charities run events more efficiently from one software platform. This includes golf outings and tournaments, walks, runs, clay shoots, galas, and many other charity events. In addition to Winning Ticket, I also own and operate two different golf companies focusing on equipment and apparel. Royalty Sports International produces premium putters, golf equipment, and apparel in addition to giving generous contributions at charity golf events, while 5 Star Custom Golf is a club fitting facility located in West Palm Beach that custom builds all different manufacturers clubs for our clients.
