The 2023 edition of the outing was held at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens. There were many factors in why the Ed Morse Automotive Group chose to host its 29th Ed Morse MDA Golf Classic at PGA National. They were seeking a prestigious golf course in Palm Beach County that could offer two amazing courses for its growing charity tournament, and PGA National fit that description perfectly with its deep history of being a worldwide golf destination for not only passionate golfers but also for the best professionals that compete there every year. They were also seeking a location that would provide the best in hospitality, which is something that PGA National wins awards for every year. When the day of the tournament arrived, the weather forecasters were predicting a washout. But thankfully Mother Nature provided enough sunshine and beautiful weather to make the day successful. The hundreds of golfers in attendance raved about the courses and PGA National’s hospitality… and it showed in the charitable giving. Were there course records broken that day? It doesn’t matter. The record that was broken that day was off the course and was much more significant. In fact, the Ed Morse MDA Golf Classic raised a record amount of over $436,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. That brings the amount raised from the history of the tournament throughout the years to over $3.9 million. “We are incredibly honored by the outpouring of support by our sponsors and players in making our 29th golf tournament for MDA a record-breaking success. It’s a company tradition to rally around the Muscular Dystrophy Association and its mission of research, care, and advocacy for over 300,000 children and adults living in the United States with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and over 40 neuromuscular diseases,” said Teddy Morse, Chairman and CEO of Ed Morse Automotive Group. The Ed Morse MDA Golf Classic in its long history took sixteen years to raise the first $1 million. It took another seven years to get over the $2 million mark. The tournament has raised over $1.8 million in the past six years. "We are grateful to the Ed Morse Automotive Group and their community for coming together each year in support of the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s mission to serve families living with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related neuromuscular diseases. The amount raised will fund research and care for these underfunded diseases. This support also goes towards MDA Summer Camp for kids and young adults, so they can gain independence, forge lifelong skills and friendships, and have the ‘best week of the year’ – all at
