They’re not framed on a wall, they’re woven into every decision. Whether she’s rounding with staff, presenting to the board, or guiding a new leader, her approach is consistent and intentional. “You lead with your presence. People are always watching, not just what you say, but how you show up.” Her executive mindset is still very much informed by her athletic roots. She likens running a hospital to competing as part of a top-tier team. “You train for moments of high pressure. You learn to trust the people beside you. And you push through, knowing that consistency, discipline, and alignment create results.” That philosophy has fueled HCA Florida JFK North Hopsital’s recent transformation and it continues to shape Ashley’s legacy as a modern healthcare leader. Looking ahead, Ashley remains focused on innovation, mentorship, and impact. “There’s no finish line in leadership,” she says. “It’s about constantly evolving, being bold enough to go first, and grounded enough to bring others with you.” When asked what advice she would give to the next generation, she doesn’t hesitate: “Be coachable, stay curious, and don’t wait to feel “ready” to lead. Step up, work hard, and trust that your voice matters. That’s how I got here, and that’s how the next generation will lead us forward.”
