COVER FEATURE For Lambert, that type of leadership and execution ultimately comes down to accountability, transparency, and trust. “Accountability, knowing that people can count on you, which goes hand in hand with trust,” she explained. “People have to trust and believe that you're going to do what you say.” She also believes those attributes require setting a clear vision while, at the same time, making sure everyone involved understands how their role contributes to the larger mission. “My favorite leadership story is when JFK came to Kennedy Space Center and asked an employee what he did there. He identified himself as the janitor and said, 'My job is to get a man on the moon.'" For Lambert, that story perfectly captures the importance of shared purpose and collective buy-in. “He took such pride in his job and knew ‘I want to make sure that the floors are clean, the trash is taken out, and it's ready come 7 a.m. the next morning for the team.’” Lambert also brings private-sector experience to her leadership background, including time with a technology company where she gained an appreciation for emerging strategies in efficiency, customer service, and cost savings. She currently serves as Chief Administrative Officer for a law firm, overseeing operations, human resources, and organizational culture for 120 employees. She is a tireless source of energy and purpose — always striving to grow herself and bring out the best in the people around her. That emphasis on teamwork and shared responsibility also shapes the way Lambert approaches mentorship and leadership development. “I love mentoring, and I love leading by example,” she said. “I make sure that I listen to them. I put myself in their shoes, but then I offer them some hard truths.” One of the qualities she works hardest to instill in younger generations is resilience. “I would say the number one thing that I would want to instill in my own daughter and other youth is to be resilient,” Lambert said. “It's a tough world out there.” That resilience, she says, has guided many of the defining moments throughout her own life and career. “You have to take a leap,” she added. “But you don't know if that leap's going to lead you to another opportunity or a challenge.” For Christina Lambert, leadership is ultimately about far more than policy or public office. It is about service, trust, collaboration, and building stronger communities by showing up, listening, and working alongside the people you serve. 12 W E S T PA L M B E A C H | J U LY 2 0 2 6
