CHARITY SPOTLIGHT P iper’s Angels Foundation was created with one mission at heart: to improve the lives of families and individuals impacted by cystic fibrosis, a rare genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. What began as a deeply personal journey for founder Travis Suit when his daughter Piper was diagnosed has grown into a powerful community movement fueled by resilience, hope, and action. Over the past decade, Piper’s Angels has launched programs and events that raise critical funds while building the kind of community that families living with CF need most. The foundation’s holistic approach goes beyond medical care, addressing the emotional, social, and financial challenges that come with living with this disease. From emergency financial assistance to scholarships to support groups for patients and caregivers, Piper’s Angels meets people where they are and reminds them they are never alone. Two signature events anchor the year for the foundation. The first is the Crossing For Cystic Fibrosis, an 80-mile open ocean paddle challenge from Bimini in the Bahamas to Lake Worth Beach, Florida. Inspired by Piper, the daughter of founder Travis Suit, the event was created to mirror the strength and endurance required to face the disease each day. What began as one father’s journey has grown into a global community of paddlers, boat captains, sponsors, and families united in the fight to help those with CF live longer, healthier lives. The second is the annual Piper’s Angels Gala. While The Crossing symbolizes strength and perseverance, the Gala highlights the beauty of community, celebration, and storytelling. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach. The theme, Angels Unmasking Miracles, shines a light on the unseen battles faced by those with CF and celebrates the extraordinary resilience and miracles that emerge in the face of adversity. The evening brings together supporters, donors, and advocates for an unforgettable night of inspiration, impact, and connection. Guests will enjoy dinner, live entertainment, and a robust auction, with every dollar raised supporting programs that directly serve families in need. It’s also a time to honor the CF warriors and caregivers whose stories inspire the mission of Piper’s Angels. As the organization grows, Piper’s Angels remains dedicated to expanding its reach and impact.
